Bowling in China Town

Jeff only had to see two patients today and Annie Kate didn't have school. So we decided to make the most of our time and head downtown.
We dropped Jeff off at Walter Reed and I drove around, got totally lost, punched the wrong address into the Garmin, finally found it but was a bit bombaloo, to say the least. We had planned to go to Dupont circle for lunch and then the zoo.
We couldn't find Dupont circle and ended up in Chinatown just north of the mall. We just parked our car to find an adventure.
there was a bowling alley called Lucky Strike I don't think it was really a place for kids considering our waitress dressed like she was working at Hooters, but they did have bumper bowling and a ramp for even the little ones to bowl. We ate at our table and had grilled shrimp and tomatoes and mozzarella sandwiches.
It was just what we needed to get out of the downtown traffic blues. The girls had a great time and they even had shoes for Caroline.
our day bowling.

That's hilarious that you guys did bumper bowling and still got such low scores. I did that a couple weeks ago when I took the kids bowling and thought it was hilarious.

in defense to our scores, not that I really care, but Jeff and I bowled may be three times each. it was a day definately about the kids. Annie Kate did the bulk of it, but the girls loved putting the ball on the ramp.

Annie kate got a 71? That is really good. I get like 90's a lot because I just can't clean up the pins.

Hey...what's wrong with being a Hooter's waitress? I am helping put Bevan through school doing just that! (Not really of course, but I HAVE offered. He doesn't really like the idea.)
